Protein levels of pro-caspase-3 and cleaved caspase-3 were significantly reduced in stroke mice compared to sham in the infarct area of both the TTC− (pro-caspase-3 p = 0.0419; cleaved caspase-3 p = 0.0001) and the TTC+ (pro-caspase-3 p < 0.0001; cleaved caspase-3 p = 0.0432) group. Here, CASP3 is linked to stroke disorder.
