Lowering circulating TG levels via ANGPTL3 inactivation by antisense oligonucleotides or monoclonal antibodies is a promising treatment strategy to target dyslipidemia and cardiovascular disease, as this reduced atherosclerosis progression in mice and significantly improved lipid profile in subjects with dyslipidemia in phase I trials [7,37]. This evidence concerns the gene ANGPTL3 and cardiovascular disorder.
