PRL and polycystic ovary syndrome: Since PCOS and endometriosis do not share any pathophysiologic pathways, but are associated only with altered prolactin, DHEAS, and vitamin D levels [16,17,18,19,20,21], it seems reasonable that PCOS patients without endometriosis-suggestive symptoms would be burdened by endometriosis as often as other asymptomatic women.
