Table 6 demonstrates the IHC depiction of the samples and the characteristics of the patients studied. Due to the limited sample size available, only one was of a patient with osteoarthritis, which coincided with the patient who expressed the greatest amount of COMP (61.3%), compared to 30.7% in the highest sample of patients without osteoarthritis (Table 7). The patient with osteoarthritis also presented with the highest Gleason score and developed metastatic disease (Figure 2). The gene discussed is COMP; the disease is metastatic neoplasm.
