Taken together, amplification of pseudogenes DUXAP8 and DUXAP9 may lead to increase expression of COL1A1 and COL1A2 by competitively binding to miR-29c-3p, resulting in uncontrolled cell proliferation in renal cell carcinoma (Figure 8).
