A second study performed by Soonthornchai and colleagues (2016) showed that peroxiredoxin (PRDX), the cottable protein (CLO) gene and thrombospondin (THBS) were up- regulated in the black tiger shrimp (P. monodon) stomach after V. parahaemolyticus infection, which are exactly the same up-regulated genes found in our L. vannamei hepatopancreas samples after infection [12]. This evidence concerns the gene THBS1 and infection.
