PVs in CHEK2, ATM, and BRCA1 were also associated with increased risk for colorectal cancer; however, risks were moderate in comparison with the Lynch syndrome genes and APC. PVs in MLH1, MSH2, MSH6, and PMS2 were also expectedly associated with increased risk for uterine/endometrial cancer. Here, CHEK2 is linked to colorectal cancer.
