Whereas genes involved in IFN-sensing, including the type III IFN receptor IFNLR1 (IFN lambda receptor 1), were not altered in their expression level, the IFN-signaling components STAT1 (signal transducer and activator of transcription 1) and IRF9 (interferon regulatory factor 9) appeared to be slightly upregulated at their mRNA expression level after infection with RV, especially in endodermal cells.
