For example, a t(2:8) translocation fuses the N-terminal moiety of RanBP2/Nup358 to the C-terminal moiety of the tyrosine kinase receptor FGFR1 in a myeloproliferative/myelodysplastic neoplasm [39] and a inv(2)(p23q21) translocation fuses the same N-terminal domain of RanBP2/Nup358 to the C-terminal moiety of the tyrosine kinase ALK in both a large B-cell lymphoma [40] and an acute myeloid leukemia [41,42,43]. Here, RANBP2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
