Chan et al., 2015, identified BCL-2 in a large-scale RNA interference (RNAi) screen to be synthetically lethal to Isocitrate Dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1) mutant expressing Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and found that venetoclax selectively targeted mutant IDH1/2 AML [120]. This evidence concerns the gene IDH1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
