Recently, we found that Tan IIA significantly reduced levels of serum inflammatory cytokines, such as high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP), interleukin-6 (IL-6), and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1 (MCP-1) in patients with unstable angina/non-ST segment elevation myocardial infarction (Shang et al., 2013; Li et al., 2017). The gene discussed is CCL2; the disease is angina unstable.
