After adjustment of confounding confounders whose p value were ≤0.2 (age, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, CAD, BMI, cerebral infarct volume, location of cerebral infarction, NIHSS score on admission and at discharge, hospital stays, neutrophils, ALT, TG, Albumin, HbA1c, uric acid, Hs‐CRP, and medications), IL‐33 was still an independent prognostic predictor of AIS with an adjusted OR of 0.956 (95% CI, 0.937–0.976, p < .001; Table 2).
