HLA class I upregulation during flavivirus infection has been previously described and attributed to various mechanisms such as NFκB activation (Kesson and King, 2001), increased transport of peptides into the endoplasmic reticulum for HLA loading (Momburg et al., 2001), and the presence of IFN-β (Glasner et al., 2017). This evidence concerns the gene NFKB1 and Flavivirus Infections.
