CD8+ cell density was significantly associated with recurrence irrespective of patient age (<70 vs. ≥70 years), sex, tumour sidedness, KRAS and BRAF mutation, and while the correlation was not statistically significant in MMR-D/POLE-mutant or CIN-low subgroups, the hazard ratios were similar to those in MMR-P/POLE-wild-type and CIN-high subgroups, respectively. This evidence concerns the gene KRAS and neoplasm.
