These results are in accord withliterature reports that some PLA2s, such as BnSP-6 from Bothropspauloensis, stimulate autophagy pathways that induce the formation ofautophagic vacuoles in triple-negative breast cancer cells (MDAMB231) [24], and that crotoxin stimulates the formationof autophagic vacuoles in luminal breast cancer cells (MCF7) [28]. This evidence concerns the gene PLA2G2A and breast carcinoma.
