Recently, it was discovered that H2O2 secreted by neutrophils induces a lethal influx of Ca2+ in tumor cells which is mediated by the transient receptor potential cation channel, subfamily M, member 2 (TRPM2), a ubiquitously expressed H2O2-dependent Ca2+-permeable channel that is frequently upregulated in cancer (16). Here, TRPM2 is linked to neoplasm.
