Highly expression levels of IFN-γ and IL-17A are shown in the animal model of atherosclerosis [31, 32], while IL-10 and TGF-β1 have been proven to act as key anti-inflammatory agents in vivo and content elevation of IL-10 and TGF-β1 effectively attenuate the expansion of atheroma plaques [33, 34].
