To our knowledge, only one report by Sirivatanauksorn et al. investigated the RNA level of Spry3 as well as Spry4 in hepatocellular cancer, and comparable to our observations in the brain, Spry4 mRNA levels were downregulated in liver cancer-associated tissue, while Spry3 expression was unaltered [40]. This evidence concerns the gene SPRY3 and liver cancer.
