Of those who did have a convincing, physician-confirmed allergy, 73.3% (95% CI, 62.8%-81.7%) were diagnosed using skin prick tests, 37.4% (95% CI, 27.4%-48.6%) via sesame-specific IgE blood tests, and 13.6% (95% CI, 8.2%-21.6%) by oral food challenge.
