Central hypothyroidism was more common in patients with ACTH-secreting pituitary adenomas (aOR 1.85, 95% CI 1.01–3.37), Rathke’s cleft cysts (aOR 2.34, 95% CI 1.27–4.32), and craniopharyngiomas (aOR 2.58, 95% CI 1.24–5.35; Figure 2) than in those with NFPAs, after adjusting for age and sex. The gene discussed is POMC; the disease is craniopharyngioma.
