The prevalence rates of nonfunctioning pituitary adenomas (NFPAs) and GH-secreting pituitary adenomas were higher in men than in women; contrastingly, the prevalence rates of prolactin (PRL)-secreting pituitary adenomas and adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH)-secreting pituitary adenomas were higher in women than in men (all p < 0.05, Table 1).
