As a whole, considering the importance of TLR polymorphisms with increased susceptibility to various infections and disease development, and the lacuna of reports on cervicitis, the present was designed to investigate the role of certain common TLR4 and TLR9 SNPs of different gene regions to C. trachomatis, N. gonorrhoeae, T. vaginalis, HPV infections, and cervicitis. The gene discussed is TLR4; the disease is cervicitis.
