Several tumor suppressor genes have been shown to be mutated in bladder cancer, such as P21, TP53, XPO5, BLCAP, and TRAP1 [18–21], and other tumor-associated genes have been demonstrated to contribute to the pathogenesis of bladder cancer, such as SPAG5 and MORC2 [22, 23]. Here, SPAG5 is linked to urinary bladder cancer.
