PPAR-α-dependent mechanisms have been used to explain the anticancer effects of fenofibrate in breast cancer [27], pancreatic cancer [28], ovarian cancer [29], endometrial cancer [30], neuroblastoma cells [31], proximal tubular cells [32], lymphoma, and multiple myeloma [33], but little has been reported about PPAR-α in colorectal carcinoma.
