Prolonged (7 h) low-dose (0.7 ppm) ozone exposure resulted in neutrophilic airway inflammation, accompanied by an increased production of IL-1β, IL-18, IL-17A, Granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF), INFγ-inducible protein 10 (IP-10) in BAL which were attenuated in IL-17(-/-) mice. This evidence concerns the gene CSF3 and inflammation.
