While a broad spectrum of aPL exists, the presence of anti-β2 glycoprotein I (anti-β2GPI) antibodies, anticardiolipin (aCL), and lupus anticoagulant (LA) is accepted as independent risk factors for the episodes of vascular thrombosis and pregnancy loss in APS (2, 3).
