CCR7 and infection: As our microscopic analysis showed that F4/80+ monocytes/macrophages appear to be infected by Brucella in the skin of i.d. infected mice (Figure 3) and their recruitment is correlated with the control of Brucella (Figure S10B), we investigated the impact of chemokine receptor CCR2 and CCR7 deficiency on Brucella control in our i.d. infection model.
