Most of the soluble cytokines/chemokines, including TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL-2, IL-6, IL-12, IL-15, IL-17, IL-10, CCL5, CXCL9, and CXCL10, in the sera of septic mice showed increased levels, which peaked at 2–12 h, whereas most of the cytokines/chemokines in the exosomes showed delayed peak expression at 12–24 h after sepsis modeling.
