High microvessel counts, as determined by von Willebrand factor (vWF) staining, are associated with high levels of RAGE, LMP1, and lymph node metastasis, suggesting a role for RAGE in EBV-induced angiogenesis (Yamagishi et al., 1997; Tsuji et al., 2008). The gene discussed is VWF; the disease is metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
