DICER1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus: As presented in Table 2, there was a significant association between rs13078 in the DICER1 gene and a decreased risk of developing T2DM under the allelic mode (A vs. T: OR: 0.64; 95CI%: 0.42–0.95; P: 0.026), suggesting that individuals carrying the A allele had a 36% lower risk of developing T2DM than those carrying the T allele.
