CCR2 and cancer: According to certain observations from human cancer studies, anti-VEGF therapy usually results in cancer elimination or regrowth in some cases, so it is a debatable aspect (Bottsford-Miller et al.,2012; Chen et al., 2016), thus combing an anti-VEGF antibody (bevacizumab= avastin= AV (Ferrara et al., 2005)) with CCR2 antagonist (CR) as a novel approach in the current study may provide new promising therapeutic window.
