At the second day of ulcer activity, the ulcer swabs showed statistically significantly higher mean endocan and VEGF levels 8.2 ± (5.3) and 1220.7 ± (294.6) pg/ml respectively than those of the healthy mucosa 1.1 ± (0.5) and 518.6 ± (61.7) pg/ml respectively with P-value < 0.001 and < 0.001, respectively. Here, VEGFA is linked to ulcer disease.
