Among the 25 SNVs that we analysed that were previously associated with obesity, the allele frequencies of three of them, rs13078807 in the CADM2 gene, rs29941 in the KCTD15 gene, and rs1294421 in the LY86 gene, were significantly different at baseline between the overweight patients and the controls. This evidence concerns the gene KCTD15 and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency.
