A study from Fernando et al. found elevated CASC15 levels in AML and B-cell acute lymphoid leukemia (B-ALL) patients with RUNX1 rearrangements (respectively, t(8;21)[RUNX1-ETO] and t(12;21)[RUNX1-ETV6]) compared to other cytogenetic profiles (73). The gene discussed is CASC15; the disease is acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
