In the present study, treatment with anti-NK1.1 mAb rescued the increased atherosclerosis in Cd47−/− mice, indicating an important role for NK cells in promoting atherosclerosis in mice lacking CD47, although we cannot exclude effects on IL7Rα-dependent type 1 ILCs or NK-T cells that also express NK1.1. This evidence concerns the gene IL7R and atherosclerosis.
