The main findings are (i) that CD47-deficiency leads to an increase in atherosclerosis, (ii) that CD47-deficiency affects immune cell homeostasis and promotes NK cell CD90-expression and IFN-γ production, and (iii) that treatment with anti-NK1.1 antibodies rescues the increased atherosclerosis observed in Cd47−/− mice. This evidence concerns the gene CD47 and atherosclerosis.
