Overall, no differences in KIR gene/pseudogene frequencies were found between the patients and the healthy individuals, except for a higher incidence of KIR2DS4*001 in the leukemia group (36.6% vs. 20.2%, p=0.017) and in the AML subgroup compared to the control group (52.9% vs. 20.2%, p=0.01) (Table 1). This evidence concerns the gene KIR3DL1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
