The release of these new GLP1-based chimeras is expected to result in higher clinical efficacy with lower adverse effects for the treatment of obesity, and, likely, its pharmacological action will be extended to other comorbidities such as type II diabetes, nephropathy, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease or steatohepatitis [34,35,111,126,132,134,135]. This evidence concerns the gene GCG and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
