MTOR and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease: A previous study demonstrates that tryptophan induces the phosphorylation of the mTOR, and accelerates non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in mice [36], suggesting that the higher levels of tryptophan may contribute to shorten the lifespan in the B6-mtALR mice by activating the mTOR pathway, which is in line with our RNA-seq data.
