It is well established that there are significant differences in cytokine signalling in individuals with first‐episode psychosis as compared to both healthy controls and a chronically medicated population 11; the B‐cell model results suggest that B cells may be more tolerant to TSNARE1‐derived antigens than TRANK1‐derived antigens (Figs 1 and 2). This evidence concerns the gene TRANK1 and psychotic disorder.
