SNHG6 demonstrated a high degree of conservation and was ineffectively degraded by nonsense‐mediated mRNA decay (NMD), which indicated that it may have extra functions apart from the production of U87 RNA.32 Fan et al 10 indicated that SNHG6 is up‐regulated in oesophageal cancer, and inhibition of SNHG6 resulted in diminished cell growth and increased apoptosis.
