As reported, angiogenesis is a remarkable pathological manifestation of liver fibrosis and always develops in parallel with fibrogenesis in chronic liver disease.6, 7 We used immunohistochemistry (IHC) staining to detect the expression of Col‐1 (a vital marker for ECM deposition), VEGF‐A (an effective cytokine that promotes angiogenesis) and CD31 (a marker for the formation of new vessels) in liver tissues. This evidence concerns the gene PECAM1 and Hepatic fibrosis.
