ANGPT1 and Hepatic fibrosis: Hepatic stellate cells have been shown to regulate angiogenesis during liver fibrosis by secreting strong stimuli of angiogenesis, such as VEGF‐A, angiopoietin 1, placental growth factor and epidermal growth factor chemokine receptor l.32, 33 VEGF‐A is the most potent stimulus and promotes the proliferation, migration, differentiation and tubulogenesis of vascular endothelial cells, thus giving rise to angiogenesis in liver fibrosis.
