AT-Rich Interaction Domain 1A (ARID1A) and Catenin Beta 1 (CTNNB1) are commonly mutated in EEC, and ARID1A mutations occur also in 10% to 15% of ECS, leading usually to loss of of protein expression, while mutations in CTNNB1 are infrequent in ECS [36,38,63]. This evidence concerns the gene CTNNB1 and exstrophy-epispadias complex.
