DHHPD at 0.1, 0.3, 1, and 3 mg/kg (i.p.)was shown to exhibit anti-inflammatory activities in the carrageenan-, histamine-, bradykinin-, and serotonin-induced paw edema models by suppressing the synthesis and/or release of histamine, bradykinin, and serotonin, in addition to likely altering the activities of COX and NOS during the first and second phases of the carrageenan-induced paw edema test.
