LAMP‐1, which exhibits a heterogeneous pattern of N‐glycosylation (L‐PHA reactive oligosaccharides), is involved in autophagy.17 Since autophagy may regulate drug resistance in cancer cells,18 we will in future clarify the significance of LAMP‐1 in autophagy and in the chemoresistance of malignant lymphoma cells. The gene discussed is LAMP1; the disease is lymphoma.
