Similarly, in another animal study (134), the exposure of mice to 12°C for 12 weeks could mitigate diet-induced obesity, and this was related to the increased expression of UCP1 in BAT, which was accompanied by significant increases in the abundance of Adlercreutzia, Mogibacteriaceae, Ruminococcaceae, and Desulfovibrio and decreases in the abundance of Bacilli, Erysipelotrichaceae, and the genus rc4-4. Here, UCP1 is linked to obesity disorder.
