The current study is a prospective study that aims to (1) evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of detecting mSEPT9 DNA in the blood of patients with different stages of colorectal neoplasm as compared to CEA and (2) to determine the role of mSEPT9, when compare to that of CEA, in monitoring CRC patients who have undergone curative resection of tumor. This evidence concerns the gene CEACAM5 and colorectal carcinoma.
