The p160 steroid receptor co-activator (SRC) family member SRC-3 (also known as NCOA3, AIB1, ACTR, pCIP, RAC3, and TRAM-1) is an oncogene that has been reported to be amplified and/or overexpressed in a variety of tumors, including ovarian cancer, esophageal cancer, colorectal cancer, and breast cancer14–16. The gene discussed is NCOA3; the disease is colorectal cancer.
