Our findings indicate that using a multimodal system (comprised a RT-CGM, a wearable activity tracker and a digital food diary) is not only feasible and acceptable but also educational, as it unveils previously unknown relationships between lifestyle and health and contributes to changes in T2DM-related behaviors among both insulin-requiring and noninsulin-requiring patients with T2DM (in clinical practice, RT-CGM is offered primarily for insulin-requiring patients). The gene discussed is INS; the disease is type 2 diabetes mellitus.
