The LVMI of the CKD patients at baseline was negatively correlated with the upregulated genes KCNN3, FGF2 and with the downregulated genes VCAN, TIMP2, ENPP1, LTBP3, MMP2, HSP90B1, and TIMP1, whereas the change in LVMI during follow-up was negatively associated with only one upregulated gene, SP7. Here, SP7 is linked to chronic kidney disease.
