lncRNAs can regulate gene expression in various manners, such as chromatin modification, mRNA splicing and post‐transcriptional modulation.6, 7, 8 Increasing studies have demonstrated that lncRNAs can act as either tumour suppressors or tumour promoters in the occurrence and development of cancers,9 including glioma.10, 11, 12 According to previous studies, lncRNA HLA complex group 11 (HCG11) was associated with the prognosis of patients with prostate cancer.13 However, the role of HCG11 in glioma is unclear. This evidence concerns the gene HCG11 and central nervous system cancer.
