At concentrations nontoxic to normal cells, aripiprazole treatment exerted cytotoxic activity in cancer cells by suppressing Src activation, and treatment of cancer cells with a combination of aripiprazole and chemotherapeutic agents, such as fluorouracil (5‐FU), gemcitabine, and cisplatin, caused enhanced cell death compared to that associated with either treatment alone 25, 26. This evidence concerns the gene SRC and cancer.
